Lots of roads all over Llanelli town centre have had their speed limit incorrectly changed to 20mph. The new 20mph limit in Llanelli only covers the area in this map… https://i2-prod.walesonline.co.uk/incoming/article21337931.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/1804_x_900_map_cym.jpg

HERE have received two traffic orders from Carmarthenshire Council of large scale 20 mph changes in ‘north’ and ‘south’ Llanelli as they have divided it up. Llanelli has been chosen as one of the trial areas for the new initiative of 20mph on all local roads by the Welsh Government.
I think in this case HERE data may be a little ahead of the council as it carries out the sign installations.
More information here https://www.inyourarea.co.uk/news/new-20mph-speed-limit-zones-arrive-in-parts-of-llanelli/
Thanks, Ben

Mike Archer • September 21, 2021 at 1:16 pm UTCI’m aware of the trial and it covers the area shown on the map I linked to and the speed limit signs are all in place on the roads. On the here maps none of trial area on the map seems to have changed and large areas to the south have been changed to 20mph that are not part of the trial area. The map of the trial area I linked to is also on the council website here…
To help compare the map to the Here maps, the road that runs along the south border of the trial area on the map is the A484 and the hospital marked near the north border is the Prince Philip Hospital.
