The Project Manager could do a lot more to help us manage projects. At the moment, we have to open each project to see what is going on with it, which is time consuming and inefficient.

We have a lot of projects going on at the same time; it would be so useful to have the the Project Manager give more information about the projects so we can see at a glance what stage of production they are in, whether by status indicators, flags, descriptions, etc. Currently, Project Notes is fairly irritating to use: you cannot edit the notes from Project Manager, but have to open each project individually and navigate through menus to edit them. Why not edit them directly in the Project Manager?

We also prefer to define our own image to represent the project (as others have requested). This is particular important when dealing with multiple clients, issues of IP, etc.

You can already organise projects into different folders.

Have you considered looking into a project management and CRM program in one? Programs like Insightly or Zoho CRM offer both features, which can help streamline your workflow and make it easier to keep track of all your projects and clients in one place.

It’s definitely important to have a user-friendly interface with clear visual indicators for project status, as well as the ability to customize images and notes. Hopefully your Project Manager will be receptive to your feedback and open to exploring new options for improving the system.

If you want to streamline operations in the most practical way for your company, choose a solution that allows for customized customizations, such as a bespoke CRM system. We’ll also discuss why you might choose to use a general CRM rather than an industry-specific CRM, as well as the advantages advantages of adopting a CRM over an ERP system.
