The southern part of the Mackay Ring Road joining Peak Downs Highway has reappeared as a 100kph highway yet the construction is far from finished and most of it is not even a closed dirt construction site with no public access. I hope this does not once again get released in the GPS updates as I expect it is years from completion.
The latest Garmin map update 2020-10 has now been released showing the majority of the Mackay ring road as 100kph trafficable.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for letting us know. I’ll pass it onto the local map team to check on this and let you know. Normally we don’t add roads to the map database until they are open to the public.
