Why Doesn't it Tell Me to do a U Turn?

If I go past the street that I want, it should tell me to do a U turn but it takes me around the block instead. Is this a software anomaly or an incorrect setting on my device?

Hi Clayton, this is determined by a routing algorithm in the GPS device, so in some cases it will say do a U-turn, but often it’s safer or quicker to go around the block. It would depend on the category of the road, and what options are available.
