Unfortunately we have many Places where details are missing in one of the sources. In this case it´s the missing foodtype for the Place category Restaurants/Cafés/Bistro, etc. So if you are able to help out with your local knowledge that would be great. If you know that this Place doesn´t exist anymore then feel free to remove it (as for other Places as well).

    thanks

Eric, that’s not the problem. In the view the map creator is asking foodtypes about places which do not exist anymore. They aren’t on the Here map. They have been removed for years, but the system keeps asking about them. This is a bug in your system. Probably it generates these questions (for foodtype for example) but they won’t be cleaned up when the place is removed. So users get questions about places which aren’t on the map anymore.

Ok, thanks, got it. I will forward this info to our engineers accordingly. Might be that I need some examples then. Will let you know.

    Hi again,
yes, as expected: The engineering team would like to get some examples of Map Tasks about Places which aren´t existing anymore in our map. So, if you can provide me some examples I can forward them to that team and they will check this issue. Thanks in advance,
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
here is an example. In the Viewport the Map Creator is asking me if ” Café ‘t Duuvelke” misses a foodtype (see screenshot Viewport.jpg). This café does not exist anymore for many years. If you check out the Here map it isn’t there anymore (see screenshot map.jpg).
So this is polluting the viewport list, because may question are about places which aren’t on the map anymore. The questions in the Viewport list are generated some time but aren’t cleaned up when the place is removed.

    Hello,
thanks for the examples so far. Could you please provide the MC-URL as well to find the exact location with the Places and Map Alerts? After that I can forward it to the engineering team. Thanks in advance.
Talk to you in the near WebEx?

    Best, Eric

    WebEx is OK to me!
