As a rule NEAR maps allow left turns from the middle of intersection although there is a dedicated left slip lane. Are we supposed to correct this by banning such left turns? This would require correcting most of the intersections in the database and is a significant effort?
Hello Zarko,
The GPS will route you through the slip lane as the initial guidance instructions. We should have any legal turn manuevers – where it’s marked on the road or by sign, indicated in the database – so in this case it was missing and I’ve made the change. I’ve discussed this with our local mapping team to review if additional changes are required.
